Week That Was (Feb 19 – Feb 25)

Oops, in case you didn’t notice, I didn’t get round to posting a WTW gossip roundup last week (it was very busy okay, there’s only so much I can cope with in one weekend and then still have brain function capabilities) so will do a quick review of somethings that happened TWO WHOLE WEEKS AGO, and launch into this week’s craziness. Quick things I missed last week – Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux announced their divorce (mere weeks after showing off their house in Architectural Digest, so obviously they’re hoping…

Week That Was (Feb 5 – Feb 11)

This week was kinda boring the whole way through with not much happening and then BAM…all the drama came through right at the tail end just to keep me on my damn toes. Phew. But it kicked off with Matthew Cherry starting the hashtag  #JanetJacksonAppreciationDay which just so happened to take place on Super Bowl Sunday. Where some douchebag was performing. Some douchebag who royally screwed her some 14 years earlier. So many people ask me why I hate said douchebag soooo much and this is a pretty good place to start if you want a rundown. Also…

Week That Was (Jan 29 – Feb 4)

SORRY this is quite a late recap, I’m sure you’ve been stressing OUT and not knowing what has been going on in the world of celeb gossip, tearing your hair out without my pithy observations to tide you over. Again, apologies. I have been out of town all weekend for some proper relaxing time and I didn’t even have the internet. AND I went outdoors. I DON’T EVEN KNOW MYSELF ANYMORE. I mean, I had data on my phone and that happened to be permanently welded to my hand, but, like, it…

Week That Was (Jan 22 – Jan 28)

This week gave us both an awards show AND some nominations so I was a happy lady for the most part. Sure there were some disappointments (can’t win ’em all) but there were also some major happy surprises. Duh, the Oscar nominations were announced, by the delightful Tiffany Haddish! She is so damn charming and hilarious, she actually made these usually boring announcements entertaining. That is no mean feat. I want her to host an awards show now. Now, let’s recap the nominations – Get Out was nominated for four massive awards – Screenwriting, Directing…

Week That Was (Jan 15 – Jan 21)

After a very busy and stressful few weeks, my life seems to fiiiinally be calming down. Not that I mind the busy busy-ness (because it leads me to work events on boats and running into Novak Djokovic in my hotel on work trips), but I have needed some proper hardcore downtime. Which I have had in spades this weekend. In fact, today I spent about an hour giving myself a home version facial (clay mask that I left on 20 minutes too long + organic cloth coconut face mask + ultra hydrating moisturiser + smaller pores I HOPE), plus watching all of…

Week That Was (Dec 19 – Dec 25)

Alrighty folks, just gonna be a quickie update from me and this will be the last Week That Was over the Christmas/New Year break (unless something craaaazy happens, which it might, as some celebs try and bury their news at times of the year such as this) BUT check back for RHOBH Recaps (if that’s your thing) (which, duh, of course it is) (and if it’s not, why isn’t it?). Also if you feel like some LOLs hope on over to my Facebook page and check out the comments on my Star Wars…

Week That Was (Nov 25 – Dec 2)

First of all – IT’S DECEMBER, so that’s a thing. Second of all, it was a biiiiig week and I am wiped out. This is gonna be a lightning round of updates so buckle up. Edit: I lied. I guess I had some rambling in-depth feelings to work through despite my exhaustion. Duh, I already covered the biggest news of the week. Clicky click the link for all the Harry and Meghan excitement as word of their engagement first broke. Since then, we’ve had some updates. They are getting married at St. George…

Week That Was (Nov 18 – Nov 24)

Phewwww. What a week. Some bombs were dropped and they dropped hard – including but not limited to; more shocking reveals in the constant dismantling of Hollywood’s toxic systemic abuse, some old popular favourites proving to be incredibly problematic, oh yeah, and Justice League landed at the box office ahahahaha hahaha haha. I crack myself up. Let’s launch in shall we? One of the biggest icky stories of the week was John Lasseter taking a 6-month “leave of absence” from Pixar Studios (which he co-founded and where he is incredibly powerful). He…

Week That Was (Nov 4 – Nov 11)

Hmmm what happened this week in the land of pop culture? The Hollywood rapist list grows, the maybe-final-ep of UNHhhh landed on my birthday (bittersweet), and Britney Spears is an artist now. You know, the usual. First off, some more names to add to the list of gross abusers in LaLa Land. Ed Westwick has now been accused by two women of rape, Charlie Sheen was probably confirmed as the perpetrator of a long-existing rumour that he was the king of a pedo ring that preyed on young boys in Hollywood, Louis CK was outed (AGAIN) as…

Week That Was (Oct 28 – Nov 3)

Another week, another slew of gross men in Hollywood who have been revealed as abusers. Really keen for the focus to eventually shift onto literally every other industry of all time as well as this is NOT unique to LaLa Land. Also Halloween happened and there mayyyy have been some celeb romantic reconciliations coz…’tis the season I guess? The holiday season? Where people remember that they love each other and forget all the awful things about the other person that made them end their relationship. SEEMS HEALTHY. Dustin Hoffman disappointed a loooooot of people when news hit…
